iPhone camera is one of the best Camera when it comes to capturing photographs of low light like that of Stars in Night. But that needs some proper way to do. There is no need to install any third party app. Officially, iPhone camera is great in itself. Let us see the way to capture the images
How to Take Best Photographs of Stars with iPhone
Although the iPhone Camera is smart enough to capture great shots of Stars in the night.
You can follow trusted and tested tricks to capture the best star photos in the sky.
Method 1 : Do not use the Flash or HDR
Using Flash makes sense when you want to throw light on any surface. But when you are trying to capture a distant object like star, the flash light does nothing for the star, but rather brightens up the near environment unevenly.
HDR reduces the camera frame rate and hence reduces a quality of distant object. So, make sure you turn the HDR off for capturing stars with your iPhone camera.
Method 2 : Do not Use Digital Zoom
There is a difference between digital zoom and optical zoom. Digital zoom enlarges the captured frame digitally and hence distorts the pixel. Although, the latest phones control the distortion and effect is not that much, but still when you compare it with the optical zoom or no digital zoom, then you will be able to see the difference.
Method 3 : Use stable camera stand or tripod
When you hold your phone with hand and press the capture button, then the distortion might degrade the image quality. Personally we captured 15 images one by one with tripod and without tripod. There was a drastic difference in their image qualities. None of the image without tripod was better than the image with tripod / stand.
Method 4 : Choose the nearby environment carefully
When you are focusing on a distant object like star, then the lights in the nearby environment play a crucial role. Like if you are capturing the stars in city and capturing the same zone of space in village, the photo quality will be better in the village area. When the iPhone camera finds light then it changes the focus and gives a distorted picture of the stars. So, when you are capturing the image next time, make sure that you are not in a place with fancy lighting and glare.
For taking the best pictures of stars, there is no need to install any third party app. Just use the inbuilt features in the right way and you will have the perfect shots.
